Winter Jazzfest preview on Minutes of Funk. Taking place Jan 13-17 in venues across Lower Manhattan, Winter Jazzfest is a "strategic overload of jazz and improvised music, now into its 11th year" (NY Times), bringing together some of the most talented and forward thinking musicians in the city and from around the world. The show exclusively features music from artists performing in the festival, including Amir Elsaffar, Rez Abbasi, Dawn of Midi, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Ibrahim Maalouf, Jose James, Kamasi Washington, Gogo Penguin, Forro in the Dark, The Ex, Colin Stetson, Sun Ra Arkesra, and many more.
